Xingzhe Taishan humanoid robots complete Beijing half-marathon
Xingzhe Taishan humanoid robots, developed by Jinan-based Yobotics, successfully completed the 2026 Beijing E-town Half-marathon and Humanoid Robot Half Marathon on April 19, marking a milestone for the company's robotics technology.
A total of four teams from Jinan, representing Yobotics and Shandong University, took part in the competition. Competing against more than 100 robotic teams from 26 brands, three Xingzhe Taishan robots finished the race, with two completing the full 21-kilometer course on a single, uninterrupted run.
The result highlights significant progress in motion control and autonomous intelligence. To prepare for the race's complex terrain – including urban slopes, uneven roads and park pathways – the development team began intensive training in early March, conducting daily 21-kilometer runs under real-world conditions to optimize algorithms and improve hardware reliability.
Compared with earlier versions, the third-generation model demonstrates a more natural, human-like gait, with smoother arm movements and more stable knee coordination. It is able to navigate slopes and turns with greater fluidity and reduced mechanical stiffness.
