Jinan's popular attractions stayed busy throughout the 2026 National Day holiday, as the crisp autumn weather, spring-fed landscapes, and diverse cultural offerings drew visitors from near and far.

Thirty key scenic spots monitored by the city received 4.46 million visits during the holiday, up 17.5 percent year-on-year. Combined operating revenue reached 137 million yuan ($20.44 million), an increase of 12.4 percent.

Within the World's Best Spring Scenic Area, traditional performances and interactive activities added to the appeal of its springs. The scenic area averaged nearly 250,000 visitors a day.

Live entertainment was another major draw. Phoenix Legend's six-show tour at Jinan Olympic Sports Center attracted more than 265,000 concertgoers. The city also launched discounts for ticket holders across a range of attractions, hotels, restaurants, shopping venues, and transportation services, extending the impact of the concerts beyond the venue.

Immersive cultural experiences also proved popular. The Tang Dynasty-themed (618–907) Datang Baiquan post station scenic area gave visitors a glimpse of life in that bygone era, while Mingshui Ancient Town explored Song Dynasty (960–1279) culture through performances and themed markets.

Rural and suburban destinations added to the holiday appeal with red-leaf festivals, harvest events, camping activities, and mountain excursions.

Museums and public cultural venues rounded out the holiday offerings. Shandong Museum and Jinan Museum presented exhibitions spanning history, art, and local culture, while public cultural venues across the city organized more than 200 activities, including reading programs and intangible cultural heritage workshops.
