Jinan hosts expo spotlighting digital publishing innovation
The 16th China International Digital Publishing Expo is showcasing the latest innovations in digital publishing, including AI-powered publishing, digital rights protection, immersive technologies, and game development rooted in traditional Chinese culture.
The expo opened on Aug 27 at the Shungeng International Convention and Exhibition Center in Jinan, Shandong province, and runs through Aug 29.
Nearly 500 exhibitors are taking part, including delegations from 20 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, as well as overseas exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions.
More than 100 forums, seminars, product launches, industry matchmaking sessions, and interactive activities are being held during the expo. They cover key areas such as AI publishing, digital copyright protection, IP development, talent cultivation, and academic publishing.
The expo features seven themed zones covering digital publishing, innovative applications of digital technologies, digital reading experiences, international cooperation, university-industry collaboration, and digital development in Shandong.
A new zone dedicated to traditional Chinese culture and online games highlights projects that combine traditional cultural elements with cutting-edge game technologies. Visitors can also experience immersive AR, VR, and XR applications.
A cultural market featuring Jinan's time-honored food brands, handicrafts and cultural products adds a local touch, giving visitors a chance to sample local specialties and experience Jinan's traditional culture.
