The 2026 Chinese New Year shopping festival and the 23rd Shandong Spring Festival fair started on Feb 6 at the Shandong International Convention and Exhibition Center in Jinan.

Running through Feb 14, the nine-day event spans 30,000 square meters and brings together more than 300 enterprises, offering residents a one-stop platform for festive shopping.

One highlight is a livestock zone organized by the Jinan livestock craftsman institute. The zone hosts 18 leading local companies showcasing high-quality pork, eggs, honey, and nationally protected breeds. To support local enterprises, the institute has provided nearly 400 sq m premium exhibition space free of charge, helping reduce participation costs and promote market access.

The event combines festive celebrations with industry promotion. Visitors can enjoy live traditional cock-fighting shows, Spring Festival couplet giveaways, and brand demonstrations. Meanwhile, matchmaking sessions and live-streaming events extend the reach of Shandong products beyond the exhibition floor, connecting sellers with wider customers.
