Jinan Laser Industry Conference fuels growth with new deals, innovation
The 2026 Jinan Laser Industry Conference began on March 13 at Bodor Laser, marking an important step in the city's goal to become a global center for the laser industry. With the theme "Focus on Jinan, Liaise with the Future", the event gathered more than 400 participants, including academicians, experts, enterprise representatives, and international buyers.
This year's conference featured a market-oriented approach, integrating government, industry, academia, and finance into a single ecosystem. During the opening ceremony, projects valued at over 900 million yuan ($130.39 million) were signed, covering advanced equipment manufacturing, new materials, and semiconductor processing.
One of the main highlights was the launch of Qilu Optics Valley, a hub for laser development. Bodor Laser, a key project in the valley, is expected to drive industrial clustering and promote collaboration between related enterprises.
Keynote forums featured insights of academicians from seven countries and experts from five domestic research institutes, exploring leading technologies and applications in aerospace, the low-altitude economy, and smart manufacturing.
Meanwhile, the 2026 Jinan International Laser Industry Chain Expo at the Shandong International Convention and Exhibition Center hosted 466 domestic and international brands and their products, from core components to complete systems.
Jinan aims to establish itself as the "third pole" of China's laser industry, consolidating global innovation resources and strengthening its international influence in high-tech development.
