Premium brands in Jinan shine at Quality Goods Carnival
The 2026 China Brand Day (Shandong) and Quality Goods Carnival opened in Jinan on May 9, highlighting Shandong's signature brands and local specialty products.
One key attraction was the Jinan pavilion, which drew significant visitor interest with displays featuring traditional foods, cultural products, and new consumer brands. Visitors sampled local specialties, including ejiao (donkey-hide gelatin) snacks, pastries, and Chinese spirits, while cosmetics like hyaluronic acid skincare items and rose essential oils were also in demand.
Since launching the Quancheng Haopin (quality products in Jinan) brand initiative in 2023, Jinan has developed a portfolio of 131 products across the manufacturing, agriculture, and service industries. Leading enterprises including Inspur and Sinotruk highlight the city's advanced manufacturing strength, while the Pingyin rose industry showcases more than 140 rose varieties with a brand value exceeding 3.4 billion yuan ($500 million).
By promoting product innovation, brand building, and market expansion, Jinan is continuing to enhance the market competitiveness and recognition of local brands.
