The Jinan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, together with cultural tourism organizations across the city, has launched more than 300 activities for the 2026 summer season.

Visitors can enjoy spring water tours, lotus-themed events, waterside markets, water-splashing festivals, night cruises and immersive performances at attractions including Baotu Spring, Daming Lake, Wulongtan Park and Mingshui Ancient Town.

For those seeking a cooler mountain retreat, Jiuru Mountain, Jiuding Pagoda Scenic Area, Red Leaf Valley and other scenic areas will offer streamside activities, flower viewing, camping, evening performances and bonfire events.

A range of traditional and contemporary cultural experiences will also be presented, including Song Dynasty-themed performances, traditional markets, costume parades and street shows.

Families can enjoy a wide range of experiences, including theme parks, nighttime wildlife attractions, farm visits, educational tours and hands-on activities at 59 intangible cultural heritage venues.

Camping sites across Jinan will provide stargazing, live music, paddleboarding, kayaking and family-oriented outdoor activities. Rural destinations will offer fishing, seasonal fruit picking, craft workshops, farm experiences and village theatre festivals.

Museums, libraries, galleries and cultural centers will host exhibitions, reading programs and traditional craft workshops, while concerts, children's theatre, traditional opera, comedy and other live performances will take place throughout the summer.

The program is designed to offer both residents and visitors a diverse range of cultural and tourism experiences across Jinan.
