Sam's Club, the globally recognized membership warehouse retailer, introduced its cloud warehouse and one-hour delivery service in Jinan on Feb 28. The delivery service covers a wide range of products, including fresh produce, baby products, personal care items, and household essentials. It currently serves Lixia district and parts of the Jinan Innovation Zone, offering members fast access to premium products online.

The Jinan Sam's Club store, located at the intersection of Fenghuang Road and Fenghuang North Road, is one of the city's key commercial projects. Since the agreement was signed in September 2024, construction has moved quickly, with more than 90 percent of the project now completed. The flagship store is set to open in May.

The retailer's entry is part of Jinan's wider retail transformation. Over the past three decades, the city has embraced retail changes, from the arrival of international chains like Walmart and Carrefour to the rise of Freshippo, which started the "supermarket + dining + instant delivery" model.

The opening of first stores by well-known brands has become a key driver of urban consumption. In 2025 alone, Jinan introduced 111 first stores and plans to attract more than 100 additional flagship openings in 2026, further developing new consumption scenarios.
