The A1 section of the Honglou urban renewal project phase Ⅱ reached a key milestone on April 19 with the topping out of its first structural segment, paving the way for the upcoming Jinan JD MALL, scheduled to open in late 2026.

As a landmark component of the Honglou Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), the JD MALL represents a new model of urban renewal and experiential retail. Located at the intersection of Huayuan Road and Erhuan East Road, JD will operate approximately 33,000 square meters of retail space within the Honglou project, focusing on digital products and interactive lifestyle experiences.

A key feature of the development is its seamless integration with Jinan Metro Line 7. The underground level will be directly connected to the under-construction Hongjialou Station, enabling a fully integrated TOD system where metro passengers can access the mall directly upon arrival.

With the commercial structure now topped out, construction has shifted to the office towers and interior fit-out works. Once completed, the JD MALL is expected to revitalize the Honglou business area and serve as a flagship project for urban renewal in central Jinan.
