Zhang Changxiao, president of the Shandong Chamber of Commerce in Italy, shared his views on Jinan's efforts to become an international hub during the fifth session of the 18th Jinan Municipal People's Congress and the fifth session of the 15th Jinan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

He stated that the overseas Chinese community is an important link between Italy and Shandong, actively promoting cultural exchange and economic cooperation.

Zhang highlighted several successful cooperation projects, including the promotion of Pingyin roses and partnerships with Jinan University, which have helped strengthen bilateral ties.

He also noted the growing interest among Italians towards the Mingshui Ancient Town, emphasizing that cultural appeal is an increasingly important factor in urban competitiveness. With its distinctive spring culture and rich heritage, Jinan is enhancing its international profile by leveraging these cultural strengths.
