Jinan green heating project spotlights Shandong government work report
The "Liaocheng Heat to Jinan" project has recently been highlighted in the Shandong government work report.
Featuring China's longest and largest long-distance heating pipeline, the network spans 150 kilometers to deliver industrial waste heat from Liaocheng to Jinan's central urban area.
This innovative green energy solution provides clean heating over an area of 100 million square meters. By utilizing high-temperature water from power plants, the project will reduce standard coal consumption by 1.29 million metric tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 3.56 million tons each heating season.
The project's completion marks a major milestone in Jinan's energy transition, enabling the permanent closure of 54 coal-fired boilers. Managed by an intelligent system, the network ensures highly efficient, on-demand distribution across the region.
