A total of 25 projects, with an investment of 33.5 billion yuan ($5.24 billion), started construction at the Jinan Start-up Area of Growth Drivers Shift on June 6.

The projects involved the ecological environment, the main road network, supporting facilities, public service facilities, and high-quality industries. These projects will provide a strong foundation for the future development of the Jinan Start-up Area of Growth Drivers Shift.

The Yellow River Sports Center project will develop into a sports complex integrating international events, modern sports service, high-end education, and high-end commerce. It will be completed in December 2024.

The Shandong Experimental Middle School Quhua Campus, which has an investment of 2.2 billion yuan, aims to be built into a 12-year integrated school covering primary, middle, and high school education. The high school department is planned to be put into use in September 2022.

Officials said that the framework of urban infrastructure at the Jinan Start-up Area of Growth Drivers Shift will be basically completed by 2025. By 2035, a green, intelligent, and livable area will be completed integrating thriving finance industries.
