Jinan's Jiyang district has made great efforts to propel the high-quality development of the agricultural industry in the region over the past decade to improve the lives of local farmers.

Over the past decade, emphasis has been placed on developing distinctive agricultural brands, such as Qudi cucumber, Renfeng watermelon, Yellow River rice, and Duoshi tomato. Jiyang is especially well known for its cucumbers and tomatoes.

Jiyang has issued policies to attract talents, established expert service bases for rural vitalization, and regularly held training courses for talent. In the past 10 years, the district has trained over 10,000 agriculture talents.

Jiyang has made efforts to boost the development of local culture by organizing cultural promotional activities and volunteer service campaigns. As the "hometown of folk culture and art" in Shandong, the district has built demonstration areas for rural civilization, constructed key cultural projects and boosted rural tourism.

The rural environment has improved. Over the past 10 years, local authorities have built a complete traffic network, renovated dilapidated houses, and improved quality of drinking water for rural residents. Currently, 34 villages in Jiyang have won the title of "Model of beautiful village" at the municipal level or above.
