Amon Berdiev, a mechanical engineer from Uzbekistan, has been living in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, with his family since 2018, thanks to a job opportunity put forth by the Belt and Road Initiative. He now works in the Automation Institute of the Shandong Academy of Sciences' underwater robot department.

Amon has discovered that the locals are extremely friendly, cordial, and helpful. He has now successfully incorporated himself into the local community and can even use chopsticks. He was particularly impressed with China's efforts to foster a healthy working environment and attract foreign professionals. To learn more about Amon's life in Jinan, check out the video.
