A group of journalists from 16 countries visited the Jinan Cultural Center block in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, on Nov 21 to experience the city's traditional culture.

The Jinan Cultural Center, founded in 1956, has been playing an important role in promoting cultural exchanges for the public. The center has hosted training courses regularly on folk culture, which include shadow puppetry, dough figurines, paper-cutting, and Lu embroidery.

It also opened a center for exhibiting and promoting intangible cultural heritages. Here visitors can experience 10 local intangible cultural heritages such as Jinan microscopic carving and Longshan black pottery.
