Yang Li, vice-mayor of Jinan, met with Leena-Kaisa Mikkola, Finnish ambassador to China during a business matchmaking session in Jinan on May 9.

The event was attended by more than 80 Chinese and Finnish enterprises from fields including industrial digitalization, intelligent manufacturing, healthcare, and transportation and logistics.

As an important city involved in the Belt and Road Initiative and a vital comprehensive transportation hub in China, Jinan has been bolstering efforts to improve the liberalization and facilitation of investment and trade.

The city has opened 40 international freight routes to 32 cities in 17 countries, and currently has 10 China-Europe freight train routes to over 40 cities in 18 countries.
