The "Culture and Natural Heritage Day" event will take place in Lixia district, Jinan on June 10. The event aims to raise public awareness about intangible cultural heritage protection and promote the inheritance of fine traditional Chinese culture.

Jinan has an abundance of intangible cultural heritage resources and is home to numerous skilled artisans. During the event, Jinan will showcase and sell intangible cultural heritage products through markets and live streaming activities.

Nearly 100 intangible cultural heritage projects from various districts and counties in Jinan will be exhibited to showcase the unique cultural characteristics of different regions. Among the exhibits will be products that combine modern life needs with traditional intangible cultural heritage skills. Examples include household items embroidered with patterns of Rizhao farmers.

About one-third of the intangible cultural heritage projects featured at this event have set up workshops to showcase techniques related to the crafting of Zhangqiu silver pot and Dancao sugar.

This themed event will also feature intangible cultural heritage night market offerings and a special section on intangible cultural heritage cuisine.
