Jinan hosts promotion meeting for cross-Strait industrial cooperation zone
Jinan, Shandong province, hosted the 2025 Cross-Strait Industrial Cooperation Zone Promotion Meeting on Aug 31, highlighting the city's efforts to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Taiwan.
In his speech, Jinan Mayor Yu Haitian noted that the city has implemented multiple preferential policies directed at Taiwan in recent years. He emphasized that the accelerated planning and establishment of the cross-Strait industrial cooperation zone has injected new momentum into Jinan, supporting the city's development into a stronger provincial capital.
Building on this meeting, Jinan will strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Taiwan across sectors including economy, trade, science, technology and culture. The city also welcomes Taiwan companies to learn more about the city and invest in it. "Jinan and Taiwan will share development opportunities and embrace a bright future together," Yu said.
The event saw the introduction of an industrial cooperation park designed to drive cross-Strait growth and transformation, accompanied by the launch of its development fund.
In addition, the meeting will feature a series of activities, including an investment and financing matchmaking meeting and an entrepreneur forum, to further strengthen cross-Strait collaboration.
