Known as the "City of Springs", Jinan offers far more than its well-known landmarks. Beyond the popular scenic spots, several lesser-known spring routes provide a quieter and more immersive way to experience the city's natural beauty.

Route 1: Baiquan Spring – Piaoquan Spring – Hulu Spring – Huiquan Spring – Tuanquan Spring – Maquan Spring

Located in eastern Jinan, this route focuses on the historic Baiquan Spring group, renowned for the rare occurrence of white sand surging beneath crystal-clear water. Along the route, lotus ponds, traditional-style bridges, and lush greenery create a peaceful atmosphere perfect for sightseeing and photography.

Route 2: Shengshui Spring – Red Leaves Valley Trail

In Jinan's southern mountainous region, Shengshui Spring offers a refreshing landscape with streams flowing through rocks. Nearby, the Red Leaves Valley Trail is lined with dense woodland and shaded paths, earning a reputation as a "natural oxygen bar". The cool environment and tranquil scenery make this route especially popular among families and outdoor enthusiasts.

Route 3: Yongquan Spring Bamboo Forest – Yongquan Spring

Hidden within a vast bamboo grove, Yongquan Spring is one of Jinan's famous 72 springs. Visitors can follow winding bamboo forest trails to reach the spring, where clear water emerges from rocky crevices and flows into quiet streams. The rustling bamboo by flowing water creates one of the city's most serene and picturesque spring-viewing experiences.
