Jinan's cultural tourism market saw strong growth during the May Day holiday, with 30 major monitored scenic spots receiving 3.96 million visits and 129.93 million yuan ($18.92 million) in revenue. The city ranked second among domestic destinations by train and was among the top 10 for air travel, highlighting its rising appeal as a tourist hotspot.

The World's Best Spring Scenic Area remained a major attraction, with a single-day peak of 383,800 visits. The site enhanced its traditional appeal with immersive night tours and themed markets.

Other spots like Qianfo Mountain and Jiuru Mountain became popular by combining folk traditions with interactive activities, including temple fairs and plant rubbing. Theme parks drew younger visitors with hanfu-themed (traditional Chinese attire) events and music festivals.

The city's cultural offerings were enriched by exhibitions at the Shandong Museum and Jinan Museum, as well as the opening of the Qi Great Wall Culture Museum. Additionally, rural tourism activities like camping and fruit picking, alongside a wide range of performing arts events, provided a diverse holiday experience.

The holiday period highlighted a mix of daytime sightseeing and a growing night economy, helping to boost tourism consumption across the city.
