Two low-altitude aviation platforms developed in Jinan have been selected as Asia–Pacific Low-altitude Economy Innovation Pioneer Cases at the 2026 Asia–Pacific Symposium for Strategic Innovation in Sustainable Technology, highlighting the city's advances in digital management and urban applications of low-altitude aviation.

The two platforms, the Jinan digital low-altitude flight management and service platform and the low-altitude government flight service platform, jointly developed by Jinan Low-altitude Economic Development Group and Synthesis Electronic Technology Co Ltd, were among only 20 projects selected worldwide after a rigorous review process.

The digital management platform, the first comprehensive platform of its kind in Shandong province, functions as a digital hub for flight supervision and coordination. It provides real-time monitoring, intelligent airspace allocation, flight plan services, route planning, and conflict warnings, and has supported nearly 60,000 safe flights totaling more than 15,000 hours.

The government flight platform focuses on citywide applications. The platform coordinates more than 300 government drones deployed throughout all districts and counties in Jinan, supporting public security, emergency response, traffic inspections, environmental monitoring, and water management. Powered by a network of intelligent drone stations, it has established a five-minute drone response network and supports more than 70 urban use cases through over 130 AI algorithms.

The selected cases will be included in the official report of the symposium and promoted across more than 20 Asia-Pacific economies.
