Jinan is turning the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays into a citywide celebration. Nearly 300 cultural and tourism activities are planned across the city, from night tours and autumn outings to family events, rural experiences, and museum programs.

Organized under seven themes, the program combines traditional celebrations with contemporary experiences.

A joint holiday program at Baotu Spring, Daming Lake, Wulongtan Park, and Huancheng Park will run from Sept 24 to Oct 7, featuring nighttime light displays, cultural performances, markets, and other traditional holiday activities. Daming Lake will also host a bar-hopping festival offering craft beverages, local food, and performances.

Autumn scenery will take center stage at destinations including Red Leaves Valley and Jiuru Mountain, where visitors can enjoy foliage, hiking, camping, and harvest-related activities. Villages and farms around Jinan will also offer fruit and vegetable picking, traditional crafts, and local food experiences.

Families can choose from seasonal programs at Jinan Fangte Oriental Heritage, Jinan Sunac Land Resort, Jinan Wildlife World, and the Jinan Botanical Garden, or spend the holiday at the city's museums. Shandong Museum, Jinan Museum, Jinan Art Museum, and Jinan Library will hold exhibitions, workshops, and special programs highlighting local history, art, and traditional culture.

The activities will run from late September through October, with specific programs and dates varying by venue.
