The stadium at the Yellow River Sports Center in the Jinan Start-up Area for Growth Drivers Transformation has taken shape, with more than half of its steel roof structure completed.

Covering 109,000 square meters, the venue has an 18,000-seat capacity and stands 41.8 meters tall. At its core is a 41-by-71-meter multi-purpose court suitable for basketball and ice hockey competitions. The stadium hopes to become a major platform for basketball, winter sports, and esports events, while also hosting concerts and press conferences.

To address the challenges of a high-altitude roof installation, engineers used a modular approach, assembling large sections in midair. A smart monitoring system was deployed to improve construction precision and safety.

Upon completion, the venue is set to become a new landmark in the area, supporting the integrated development of sports, cultural tourism, and commerce.
