The Jinan government announced on June 29 that more measures will be taken to better prepare for the annual college and high school entrance exams amid the coronavirus epidemic.

The college entrance exam in Jinan, Shandong province will be held from July 7 to 10. A total of 52,881 students in their final year of senior high school will participate in the exam at 32 testing sites throughout the city.

The high school entrance exam will be held from July 12 to 14. A total of 82,579 junior high school graduates have applied and 57 testing sites will be set up throughout Jinan.

The local government will take strict coronavirus prevention measures during the exams.

All participants, including staff and examinees, are required to have their temperatures taken 14 days ahead of the exam and report on their health conditions.

Students from low-risk areas are required to wear masks when entering the testing room and can decide whether or not to wear it during the test.

Students from middle- and high-risk areas, supervisors, and staff should wear masks throughout the entire examination process.
