The Jinan Urban Internationalization Summit, themed "New Era, New Vision, New Heights" and cosponsored by the Jinan Academy of Social Sciences and the Jinan Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, opened on Nov 30.

Experts and scholars from domestic social science research institutes, colleges and universities, and from public diplomatic institutions, attended the summit. 

The attendees focused on urban internationalization development trends since the reform and opening-up, summarized the construction experience of major international cities in the world and discussed general ideas and effective paths to promote Jinan’s urban internationalization and competitiveness and build it into a modern international metropolis.
