A delegation of Italian officials led by Lorenzo Fioramonti, Italian minister of education visited Jinan's renowned scenic spots on Nov 28 during the tenth China-Italian cooperation week in Jinan, East China's Shandong province.

The two-day event welcomed more than 600 representatives from China and Italy in search of cooperation and exchange in science and technology.

The group visited the Jinan's famous city moat and Baotu Spring Park, which gave them a better understanding of the city's history and culture.

Lorenzo Fioramonti spoke highly of the city's traditional culture and expressed hope that the two sides can deepen cultural cooperation.

The two parties also sought to deepen cooperation in the research of marine ecosystems, natural resources and environmental conservation. Jinan's industrial advantages in machinery manufacturing and intelligent equipment are greatly coveted by Italy and are a large reason behind the European country's willingness to cooperate.
