A cargo flight carrying 6.6 tons of international mail departed Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport for Tokyo, Japan on June 16.

To meet people's demand for postal services and foreign trade amid the pandemic, the Shandong branch of the China Post Group Corporation has opened flight routes to Tokyo and Incheon, South Korea.

The cargo is transported by Shandong Airlines aircraft that have been converted into cargo planes.

The planes depart for Tokyo and Incheon at 6:45 and 15:00 respectively.

The opening of the flight routes has helped improve logistics efficiency for Shandong's products that are exported to Japan and South Korea. It also effectively enhances the competitiveness of foreign trade enterprises and cross-border e-commerce enterprises in Shandong province.

Since March, the Shandong branch of the China Post Group Corporation has opened more than 20 international routes, greatly promoting the development of international logistics and trade in Shandong.
