
Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province is currently home to 179 headquarters of companies due to its good business environment and regional advantages.
Official data shows that a total of 39 enterprise headquarters were added to city this year.
"We chose the city's Huaiyin district as our company's regional headquarters because of its business environment and advantageous location," said Miao Cuibo, vice-president of a supply chain management company.
The company, which specializes in bulk commodity trade, transport logistics and warehousing services, is a subsidiary of the Xiangyu Cooperation in Xiamen, Fujian province. It is expected to earn 10 billion yuan ($1.53 billion) in sales next year.
According to Miao, Jinan enjoys convenient transportation. With the establishment of the Jinan West Railway Station, 297 important cities in China can be directly accessed from Huaiyin district. Here, one can travel to Beijing in just 1.5 hours and to Shanghai in three hours.
Local authorities have created a supportive business environment with high-quality services to attract more high-quality projects such as the intelligent forklift project supported by German Kion Group. It took just 12 hours for the company to obtain the required permits to being construction. The second phase of the project started eight months ahead of schedule.
Furthermore, the Jinan government has provided additional rewards to attract projects. In order to accelerate the construction of Jinan International Investment Industrial Park, projects to be established in the park by world's top 500 companies will receive a maximum grant of 10 million yuan.
