Baotu Spring, a famous tourist attraction located in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, saw its water table rise to 30.04 meters on Oct 7, the end of the seven-day National Day holiday. This was the first time for the water table to exceed 30 m since 2010.

The 11-year high water table made springs in the World's Best Spring Scenic Spot more vigorous, attracting a large number of tourists from across the country.

A program produced by Chinese state media organization China Media Group broadcast live the stunning views and gave a thorough introduction to the scenic spots in the attraction. Nearly 7.6 million people watched the live show.

The rising water table was a result of heavy rainfall in Jinan. According to the city's water authority, Baotu Spring's water table has increased by 109 centimeters since Sept 18 due to days of continuous rain, while that of Black Tiger Spring, another famous attraction in the World's Best Spring Scenic Spot, has increased by 126 cm.
