english.jinan.gov.cn2021-02-24

Jinan, the capital of East China's Shandong province will continue to improve its transportation network in 2021 by integrating highways, airports, and inland ports so as to promote the city's high-quality development.

The construction of the Jinan Port along the Xiaoqing River started on Jan 16. It will link Jinan Port to Longkou Port and create a river-sea combined transportation network.

Jinan's international logistics channels have improved in the past year. The city has opened 40 cargo flight routes connecting 17 countries and its Eurasian freight trains currently operate on 10 routes that connect more than 40 cities in 18 countries.

The city is also home to 16 national 5A level logistics enterprises and a national level cold chain logistics base.

The Jinan Zhangjin Comprehensive Bonded Zone was officially approved by the State Council in 2020 and became the second bonded zone in the city following the Jinan Comprehensive Bonded Zone.

Looking ahead, Jinan will build a comprehensive modern transportation system combining land, water and air traffic by 2025. The air routes of the Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport will connect the city to Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea, and countries in Southeast Asia. The logistics industry cluster will take shape and the logistics business revenue will make significant progress.
