Jinan Innovation Zone in Jinan, the capital of Shandong province has announced the opening of its first foreign-related services area, which will provide efficient and comprehensive assistance to foreign investors and expatriates in addressing language barriers, unfamiliar administrative procedures, and multiple agency interactions, local media reported.
The new services area focuses on enhancing the investment environment and facilitating the business operations of foreign-funded enterprises.
The area has also established an improved approval mechanism and compiled a comprehensive "one-stop" list of 18 foreign-related services, including foreign-funded enterprise registration, work permits for foreigners, and temporary practicing permits for foreign doctors. The services are integrated into a dedicated window that provides policy information, consulting and assistance services for foreign investors and expatriates.
"As a Singaporean-owned food production company, we have benefited greatly from the integrated services provided by the innovation zone's approval service department and the city's entry and exit administration bureau. We were able to complete various procedures, including work permits for our foreign experts and our company's filing, in one visit," said a client surnamed Yang.
Moving forward, the Foreign-related Services Area will continue to optimize its services, facilitate investment, employment, and daily life for expatriates, officials said. The innovation zone is aiming to attract more global capital, technology and talents, as well as promote high-quality development of foreign investment and trade by offering tailored and efficient services related to business, customs, and judicial matters.
