A giant lantern installation featuring a figure in traditional Chinese style at Daming Lake is taking shape after days of hard work, drawing crowds eager to take photos and enjoy the display.

Standing 12 meters tall, the artwork is a centerpiece of the 44th Baotu Spring Lantern Fair. It depicts the iconic character named Xia Yuhe at Daming Lake in a graceful and romantic ancient-style design.

The lantern fair is an annual event held in Jinan as part of Spring Festival celebrations. This year's festival has been updated, with lanterns not only displayed at Baotu Spring Park but also at Daming Lake and Five Dragon Pool Park.

This year's event promises to offer a picturesque visual feast, featuring more than 10 super-large lantern installations, five large lantern groups, and over 40 medium and small lantern groups.
