The 2025 Jinan Huazhao Festival kicked off at Daming Lake, the city's most iconic scenic area, on March 29 to vitalize the cultural tourism market with traditional culture.

Over 1,000 hanfu enthusiasts gathered to showcase the beauty of Chinese culture through activities such as poetry recitations, flower goddess offerings, a parade, and a fashion show.

Twelve women dressed in traditional Chinese clothing, representing the twelve flower goddesses, were a highlight of the event, drawing much attention.

Visitors were also invited to immerse themselves in traditional cultural experiences, including ancient games like hammering balls, archery, guqin music, and pitch pot.

The Huazhao Festival, which has a history of over 2,000 years, is held in celebration of the flower goddess' birthday. According to ancient beliefs, the flower goddess controlled the reproduction of mankind, and it later became tradition to celebrate her birthday as a way to wish for prosperity.

This year's festival will last until mid-May, with the city's 10 major parks, including Daming Lake Park, Qianfo Mountain Scenic Area, Baihua Park, and Quancheng Park, offering a variety of cultural experiences.

These activities are designed to cater to a diverse array of personal needs, including local tours, in-depth explorations, and "one-stop" spring outings for both residents and visitors.
