Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, has published a plan in order to enhance the city development and improve its standard of living.

In 2025, Jinan will focus on driving investment and stimulating consumption. The city aims to expedite the construction of 550 major municipal projects, with an annual investment target of over 200 billion yuan ($27.31 billion).

Notable projects include those in solar energy, semiconductor manufacturing, infrastructure, and public services, with particular emphasis on expanding airport facilities, highways, and rail transport.

Jinan will plan more than 4,500 projects throughout the year, with over 3,200 of those focusing on industrial development.

The city plans to introduce more than 10 projects with a total investment exceeding 5 billion yuan. Education, healthcare, and housing will be prioritized, with the goal of improving living standards and addressing key needs.

To boost consumption, Jinan will host over 500 events. The city will also promote smart, green, and healthy consumption, with over 1,200 new retail and dining establishments, and attract 100 leading commercial brands.

Efforts will also focus on expanding the automobile, home appliance, and cultural tourism industries, enhancing the night economy, and improving public services for residents.
