Jinan metro line 4 achieves full track connection
The Jinan Metro Line 4 project has achieved full track connection, setting the stage for full operation by the end of this year.
Since its launch, the project has faced technical challenges, including a long route, tight schedule, complex sites, and dense cross-operations. Key focus areas included advanced techniques for vibration and noise reduction to minimize environmental impact.
To date, Jinan Metro Line 4 has successfully completed two critical milestones: tunnel breakthrough and track laying. These achievements have laid the groundwork for the forthcoming key stages, including power electrification, integrated commissioning and testing, as well as trial operations.
As a key east-west transportation artery in Jinan, Metro Line 4 runs along the city's main thoroughfare, Jingshi Road. The line spans 40.3 kilometers and includes 33 stations. The total length of track laid reaches 85.074 kilometers.
