A job fair for graduates from universities and colleges in Jinan was held at Jinan University on March 7, attracting over 370 companies that offered 19,924 jobs and over 5,000 graduates that submitted 11,000 resumes.

The positions cover various sectors including manufacturing, computer science and software, biomedicine, architecture, education, and finance, which cover all the majors that are offered in Jinan University.

For example, recent graduate Zhang Dianhua, who majored in mechanical engineering, submitted both his and his girlfriend's resumes to Jinan XD Special Transformer Co, with hopes of working and settling down in Jinan.

As the fair included a large number of companies and offered a wide range of employment positions, it also attracted former graduates who were already employed.

A mechanical design major graduate who goes by the surname Feng, graduated from Jinan University in 2016, also submitted his resume at the fair.

The Jinan human resource and social security bureau plans to continue to bridge the universities and colleges with companies to carry out cooperation and matchmaking events to promote the employment of graduates and talent cultivation for Jinan's economic and social development.
