Situated in northeastern Jinan, Jiyang district covers 1,076 square kilometers and governs four towns, six subdistricts, 850 administrative villages and communities.

By the end of 2019, Jiyang achieved a regional GDP of 19.01 billion yuan ($2.74 billion) with a year-on-year increase of 7.6 percent.

The added value of the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors was 2.93 billion yuan, 9.21 billion yuan and 6.87 billion yuan. In 2019, the per capita disposable income of residents reached 23,121 yuan, up 9.2 percent.
