The Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism released 100 routes for red tourism on March 17 in honor of the Party's 100-year anniversary this year.
Red tourism is a term used to describe tourism at sites important to China's revolutionary history. It is meant to help promote the spirit of the Party.
The red tourism routes connect revolutionary museums, memorial halls, exhibition halls, tourist attractions, education demonstration bases, and revolutionary sites across 16 cities in the province.
Many scenic spots in Jinan have been selected among the routes, including the Jinan Jiafang Pavilion (Liberation Pavilion), Jinan Massacre Memorial Hall, Black Tiger Spring Park, Baihuazhou Cultural and Historical Block, Hero Mountain, and Jinan Old Commercial Block.
The 100 sites integrate historical culture with natural landscapes, allowing people to learn about revolutionary history while also enjoying natural scenery during their tour.
