The launch ceremony for a campaign to recruit volunteers was held in Shunjing international community in Lixia district, Jinan on March 15.

The campaign aims to gather foreign experts, overseas students and foreign employees in Jinan to form a volunteer team that can provide services such as foreign language education, guiding tourists, and cultural promotions during international events.

As Jinan was selected as a candidate of the 2022 Culture City of East Asia, the team will also host promotional activities such as soliciting for signatures to help promote the city's efforts to earn the title of Culture City of East Asia.

The Shunjing community will become a window to promoting the Culture City of East Asia, cultural exchange and international cultural and tourism volunteer services.

The community, one of the first demonstration sites of its kind in Lixia district, aims to provide an international exchange platform for locals and foreigners.

The signs in its public facilities and promotional brochures feature two languages – Chinese and English. The community also provides free foreign language translation services to facilitate the lives of expats.
