Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport on Jan 9 welcomed the first international flight following China's optimization of its COVID-19 strategy which took effect on Jan 8, downgrading COVID-19 management from Class A to Class B and scrapping the requirement for inbound travelers to quarantine and undergo nucleic acid tests.
The airport conducted overall cleaning, and set up plants, lanterns, and paper-cutting decorations at the boarding gates, corridors and security inspection areas to create a festive ambience for the arrivers.
