The 2025 Teqball World Series concluded in Jinan, Shandong province on April 20, with over 100 elite athletes from nearly 20 countries showcasing their excellence.

As the first stop of the global tournament, the event highlighted the growing popularity of Teqball - a fast-rising sport blending football skills with table tennis-style play.

Originating in Hungary in 2014, Teqball has rapidly expanded to 153 countries and is now featured in major competitions such as the Asian Games.

Over three days, athletes competed in men's singles, women's singles, and mixed doubles, delivering impressive performances and showcasing the sport's unique blend of skill, endurance, and strategy.

Jinan impressed with its top-tier event organization and warm hospitality, earning praise from international participants and media. The event also boosted local tourism, hospitality, and cultural industries, strengthening Jinan's global connections.

Laszlo Vajda, secretary general of the International Teqball Federation, praised Jinan as an ideal host city and expressed hope for more international events in the future to further grow the sport worldwide.
