Jinan hosts university student graduation ceremony
Jinan, capital of Shandong province, held a collective graduation ceremony for local university students on May 22.
During the event, Liu Qiang, Party secretary of Jinan, spoke about the city's abundant job opportunities. Jinan's leading industries - such as big data and new information technologies, intelligent manufacturing, advanced materials, biomedicine, and modern finance - offer students clear pathways for personal and professional growth.
According to Liu, Jinan also offers comprehensive employment services and has been working to build a full-chain support system in recent years, covering career planning, skills training, job matching, employment stability, and lifelong development for university graduates.
At the event, young talent representatives shared the stories behind why they chose Jinan for their studies and personal growth, followed by an award ceremony for the recipients of the "Jinan Scholarship".
From 2022 to 2024, Jinan added 568,000 new urban jobs, ranking 11th among China's top 100 most talent-attractive cities in 2024 and second among North China cities. The city has also been named one of the best cities for talent attraction for three consecutive years.
