A talent introduction matchmaking event was held on Feb 25 at the Central Campus of Shandong University (SDU), attracting 222 enterprises and public institutions, 2,490 SDU students and 624,000 online viewers.
The event, which was conducted in an online and outline mode, served as a bridge between employers and college graduates.
The event catered to the needs of Jinan's four leading industries and key industrial fields. Employers were mainly from such industries as new-generation information technology, energy-saving and new energy vehicles, high-end equipment, aerospace information, quantum applications, biomedicine, advanced materials, new urban construction and e-commerce.
Chen Yuwen, a recruiter from the Human Resources Department of the Advanced Technology Research Institute of the Beijing Institute of Technology, said the institute plans to introduce several top talents, at an annual salary for scientific research elites with a master's degree of 350,000 yuan ($50,440.11) and an annual salary for talents with a doctor's degree at 550,000 yuan.
Sinotruk Recruitment Manager Liu Siyu said: "We attach great importance to the introduction of high-level talents. In addition to the annual salary of 300,000 yuan and the one-time settlement allowance of 500,000 yuan (after tax), PhD candidates could gain an interest-free loan of 500,000 yuan to buy a house."
Ma Bingyu, deputy director of the Jinan Talent Service Center, said they established innovative recruitment models based on industries and set up four major talent introduction matchmaking areas of new-generation information technology, high-end equipment, biomedicine and advanced materials.
The Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Jinan has set up a policy promotion area to meet the diverse needs of enterprises and students.
In recent years, Jinan has issued a series of inclusive policies such as housing subsidies and free transport to attract top talents. Wu Jun, deputy director of the second division of talents from the organization department of Jinan, said the city strives to optimize relevant policies in an all-round way.
