Jinan Metro Line 2 is currently under construction, and some of its stations have already been completed, local media reported.
The line will have a total length of 36.4 kilometers and pass through 19 stations from east to west in Jinan, Shandong province.
It starts at Wangfuzhuang Station in the west and ends at Pengjiazhuang Station in the east. Commuters can transfer to Line 1 at Wangfuzhuang Station and Line 3 at Bajianpu Station.
The line is meant to relieve traffic congestion and limit the number of cars traveling from the eastern to the western part of the city.
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of this year, and trial operations will start as early as the end of next March.
