The "Guo Yuan V3 Cup" Jinan Open 2024 kicked off at the Jinan Olympic Sports Center on Aug 19. The 15-day tournament welcomed 156 professional players from 37 countries and regions.

 The event is hosted by the Chinese Tennis Association and Shandong Provincial Sports Bureau. The total prize money is $80,000, with four competition items – men's singles, men's doubles, women's singles and women's doubles.

Hosting high-level and international sports events not only stimulates the city's vitality but also promotes the deep integration of cultural tourism, said Bai Bing, chairman of the Jinan Cultural tourism Development Group, at the opening ceremony.

He hopes that the event will become an important platform for showcasing Jinan's city image and spreading its voice, Bai added.
